Privacy Policy — Milano in Bici

Last updated: 13 July 2026

In short: Milano in Bici collects no data. There are no accounts, no usage analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. The app runs entirely on your device.

Data we collect

None. The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All the cycling information it shows (bike lanes, parking, drinking fountains, shops, pumps, BikeMi stations, e-bike charging) is bundled inside the app and needs no connection.

Location

If you choose to grant location access, your location is used only on your device to centre the map on where you are and to measure the distance to nearby amenities. Your location is never recorded, never stored, and never leaves your device. The app is fully usable without granting location access.

Saved settings

Your preferences — which map layers are enabled and the places you save to Favourites — are stored only on your device and are never transmitted.

Base map and network

Milano in Bici makes no network connections of its own. The base map is provided by Apple Maps; any network activity to load map tiles is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.

Third parties

No data is shared with third parties. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.

Data sources

Cycling data comes from OpenStreetMap (ODbL licence); BikeMi station locations come from BikeMi's public GBFS feed (NLOD 2.0 licence). They are bundled as a static snapshot and involve no collection of personal data.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data, so no data from children is collected or processed.

Changes to this policy

Any updates will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
